     Duncan Ford Curry was born on 19 June 1911 in New York City, NY. He died on 27 October 2001 in Dallas, Dallas Co., TX, at age 90. He was buried in Restland Memorial Park Cem., Dallas, Dallas Co., TX.
     Duncan Ford Curry He was born at Sloan Maternity Hospital Center, in New York City. His family moved to Staten Island, New York, and to Brooklyn, (Flatbush), New York. In 1920, they moved to Baldwin, Long Island, New York. Duncan graduated from high school in 1930, then attended Rutgers University. In 1932, he worked on Wall Street, for Farr & Company, as a runner. Runners carried securities to the different brokerage houses. He then worked there for several years in the company's securities department. He then worked for the American Thread Company in New York. Later he was transferred to Chicago. After several months in Chicago, he was transferred to the Dallas office, and was acting manager of that office. Duncan was in the New York National Guard from 1933 until 1937. When World War II broke out, he enlisted in the Army in March 1942. He was in the Signal Corps, and was stationed in New Guinea, at MacArthur's mountaintop headquarters, and then in the Philippines. He was honorably discharged in January 1946. After the war, Duncan went to work for the Veterans Administration, in Dallas, as an Insurance Underwriter, and then later as a Reviewer. When the V.A. moved their office to Denver, Colorado, Duncan, wanting to stay in Dallas, went to work for the U.S. Post Office. He worked there from July 1954 until his retirement in February 1970.
